Web Link Bibliography :  This web link bibliography contains valuable websites for teachers of grades Pre K-5 and ESOL.

 

Webquest: The web quest is a “who done it”, on the murder of King Tutankhamen of Egypt. Students are asked to be detectives that must make conclusions based on their investigation.

 

Web Dropin 1:  Wild Weather

Students will be learning about tornadoes and hurricanes.

Web Dropin 2:  Rainforest

 Students learn all about what lives in the rainforest.

Web Dropin 3: Population

Students are engaged in learning about the population of the United States.

Web Dropin 4: Revolutionary War

Students are asked to study two points of view of the Revolutionary War. One on the side of the colonials, the other side is the British.

Web Dropin 5: Holidays

Students learn about the three holidays in December: Kwanza, Christmas and Hanakah.

This assignment was an exploration of the game universe of the Internet.

Elective 4:  Viruses and Virus Hoaxes:

This assignment gives information on viruses and an example of a letter addressed to those who might send a virus hoax via email.

Elective 5:Worksheets for Instruction:

 This assignment contains a list of websites that contain lesson plans that Media Specialists could use with grades K-5.

Elective 6:  SPAM:

This assignment gives information on what SPAM is and what can be done about it.

Elective 7:  Internet Safety:

 This assignment contains a contract and letter regarding Internet safety.

Elective 8: Radio & Audio Streaming:

 This assignment contains a list of websites that connect you to radio and audio streaming of various subjects.

Elective 9:  Virtual Field Trips:

This assignment was a broshure that featured virtual field trips into the beginning of American History.  We start will the Pilgrims coming over on the Mayflower and we end with the Revolutionary War.

Elective 10:  Translations:

This assignment features ways you might use translation tools from the Internet in different educational settings.

Elective 11:  Clipart:  This activity is a compilation of the five best websites to find clipart.

Elective 12:  Sounds:

This is a list of sounds on famous speeches make by various powerful Americans. The speeches were usually followed by a turning point in American history.

Elective 13:  School Library Media Sites

This is a guideline of what should be included on a school library media website

Elective 14:  Web Cams

This list of five activities,that could be used by teachers, with the web cams from the Internet.

Elective 15:  Inappropriate Websites

This activity gives an explanation for students on what to do if they encounter inappropriate material on the Internet.
