These web dropins provide short web information activities for your students. Designed to take between 20 and 30 minutes to complete, these activities are a good source for supplemental instruction when your lessons don’t take as long as you planned.
Fairy Tale Elements – This activity takes students to a site that explains the different common elements of fairy tales and provides a chart for the students to complete with examples.

Native Americans – Students learn more about Native American tribes in this activity that requires them to identify the food, clothing and houses of the different tribes.

What do you think about year round schooling – Students are directed to three websites that discuss the pros and cons of year round schooling. Afterwards, they come up with their own list of pros and cons as well as their own overall viewpoint on the subject.

Elements of a story – students are directed to a site where they will read a science fiction story entitled Second Thoughts. Afterwards, they will complete a story map chart outlining the elements of the story.
