Games

You are absolutely right about
the games being addicting, but I was addicted long before this class ever
started. The site where I spend most of
my time is on yahoo games and I would have to say that I’m usually playing
either chess or spades. I have already
reached advanced for both of these games with three different names, so I may
have to start trying out a different game and see if I can master that one,
too. The best experience that I’ve had
playing games would probably have to be this chess match I got into once. It was against another fairly good chess
player and the match must have gone on for at least two hours. It was an incredibly tense match with neither
of us losing a piece in the first twenty minutes. You could easily tell that we were both
playing very defensively and for most of the match we were both successful at
it. Every so often I would take a piece
of his and then he would take one of mine.
After about an hour and a half, things started to change. I don’t know if it was strategy by either of
us or if we were just tired of playing, but we both became very offensively
minded. In the end it came down to me
taking his queen with mine to give me the advantage of a queen and king to his
king, to which he conceded victory to me.
It was definitely the best match I’ve ever experienced. I would definitely have to say that I am a
big fan of playing games on the computer, which probably isn’t the best of
things with me being a horrendous procrastinator and all. It would be hard to stop playing them
completely, though.
