Flexibility is a key component of physical fitness, yet it is often neglected.  Click on the link and read about flexibility.  Then answer the following questions in your journals.

4.  Compare and contrast the four types of stretching.  What are the similarities and differences between them?

5.  What is the FITT principle?  How does it apply to stretching?

 

6.  Using the FITT principle and at least two different types of stretching, design your own total body stretching program.  Include at least two stretches for each of the following:  Quadriceps, hamstrings, pectorals, deltoids, gastrocnemius, biceps, triceps, latissimus dorsi.
