            This page contains a list of links that are helpful to any PE teacher.  There are links to sites giving lesson plans and ideas, as well as equipment sales.

Rev Up the Pace to Boost Heart Health – This page provides information about the benefits of increasing the intensity of cardio-vascular exercise.  It also talks about the benefits of weight training to total body conditioning and heart health.  This provides good information to give to high school aged students in life fitness or weight training

2. Classroom Management: Quieting Down Muscles and Bones – This page provides info about a classroom management strategy for grades 3-5.  It gives them something to do while in line at the end of class.  It lists the materials, assessment, and provisions for disabilities.  Date visited – 2/21/03

Lesson Ideas: Body and Space Awareness – This page provides actual lesson plans for teaching body and space awareness in grades k-5.  Everything that I need is here and it is updated regularly.  There are also links to lesson plans on everything an elementary PE teacher could ever want.  Date visited – 2/21/03

4. Middle/High School Lessons – This page provides links to lesson plans in all units.  Each unit contains several lesson plans.  It is updated regularly with actual lessons that can be taught.  It covers everything from archery to volleyball.  Date visited – 2/21/03

12.  AAHPERD – Web site for the American Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.  It allows you to keep up to date with the current issues, trends and research in the field.  You can join from the web site.  Date visited – 2/21/03
