Objective: Students will be able to locate web sites that provide information on classroom management.
Objective: Students will be able to evaluate classroom management sites, and collect and annotate those ones that are useful.
Introduction: Classroom management is on of the biggest problems facing beginning teachers. Developing classroom management procedures that work takes a lot of time and effort. Luckily, the Internet is there to help you. The sharing of classroom management techniques by professionals is very helpful to busy teachers. This activity is about helping you find sites that are specifically useful to you in your content area.
Activity: Chose a search engine and develop a query that will find classroom management sites useful in your content area. Visit some of the sites and review the strategies there. Rank the sites by usefulness and quality.
Assignment: Make a brief annotated bibliography of the 5 best sites. Your citation should contain the following information.
- Page Title
- Annotation
- Date you visited the page
- URL
