The Globe Theater

The Globe Theater was the place where most of Shakespeare’s plays were performed. It was octagonal in shape with an open roof and consisted of a pit (where poor people stood) and a gallery (where rich people sat). The stage stuck out into the crowd, and while the actors wore very fancy costumes, the use of props was limited.
