Today we are going to learn about the Food Guide
Pyramid that is above. We use the Food
Guide Pyramid as a general guide to healthy eating based on Dietary Guidelines. The Pyramid is separated in to 6 different
categories.
1. Fats, Oils
& Sweets
2. Milk, Yogurt
& Cheese
3. Meat,
Poultry, Fish, Dry Beans, Egg & Nuts
4. Vegetables
5. Fruit
6. Bread,
Cereal, Rice & Pasta

1. Go to this Food Guide Pyramid website.
2. Click on
each Food Guide Pyramid category and read about each food group while taking
notes in your learning log.
3. After you
have finished, answer the following questions for a quiz grade.
