                        Dropin #1 - The Age of the Five Good Emperors – students visit a website to learn about an era in Rome when five emperors ruled in succession.                         Dropin #2 - How We Use Mesopotamian Inventions Today – students visit a website to learn about various Mesopotamian inventions, then choose one and fill in a web as to how we utilize that inventions in today’s society. http://www2.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/greengartj/dropin2.htm

 

                        Dropin #3 - Literary Analysis of Characters – students visit a website to learn how to analyze the character traits of literary personalities.                         Dropin #4 - Primary vs. Secondary Sources – students visit various websites to learn about the different venues of reference materials available, and the advantages of using either primary or secondary sources when conducting research. http://www2.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/greengartj/dropin4.htm

 

                        Dropin #5 - Sparta VS. v           Elective #1 - Worksheets for Instruction – this elective has a list of sites for lesson plans, worksheets, quizzes, and online activities for teachers to use when teaching adjectives. http://www2.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/greengartj/elctive1.htm

 

v     Elective #3 - Lesson Plans – this elective provides a list of online lesson plans for teachers teaching Ancient Rome to middle school. v     Elective #4 - Newsletters – in this elective, I discuss how I subscribed to two newsletter: “K12 Newsletters” and “Surfing the Net With Kids”, and the advantages to the two newsletters as a teacher in the technological aged world. http://www2.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/elctive4.htm

 

v     Elective #5 - Collaboration – this elective lists various websites that contain online collaborative activities for students to work on within one school, or as a group effort with other schools. v     Elective #6 - Instructional Modification – this elective discusses two special needs that arise in the classroom: students with attention deficiencies and students with reading deficiencies.
