Just like people and other animals, plants don't start out full grown. As you already know, most of them start as seeds. Visit this site to view a set of pictures that illustrates the life cycle of a plant.

 Assignment:
  Use the sequence chart (graphic organizer) that your teacher gave you to jot down notes about the plant's life cycle. When you return to class, use your notes to help you write an informative paragraph that explains the stages in a plant's life. Remember to use order words like: first, then, and next. For a more complete listing, consult the "order words" page in your writer's folder.
