1) Dropin#1- Classification - This web-based activity motivates students to learn about taxonomy. The students, as paleontologists, follow the links and enter a virtual lab where they have to classify an unknown creature.

2) Dropin#2- Binomial Nomenclature This activity consists of a motivating introduction that will explain the connection between the students favorite award shows and the scientific concept of binomial nomenclature. Students will then complete the activity by answering a series of questions.

3) Dropin#3- Moon and Tides Connection This activity requires the students to use their imagination to embark on a journey to their favorite destination. They will record the heights of the high tides and low tides, and the moon phases for specific dates. From their Internet research they will determine if in fact there is a connection between the tides and the phases of the moon.

4) Dropin#4- To Clone or Not to Clone? In this activity, the students will use the provided web links to explore the arguments both for and against cloning. Then, they will formulate their own opinion of this controversial topic and answer questions.
