#10 Virtual
Field Trips: Students who
are studying the history of Pennsylvania will enjoy the following field trips.
As you know Pennsylvania is a fairly large state and it is impossible for every
student to visit every major city and historic site in PA. Students will visit
Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Johnstown, Gettysburg, and Lancaster. Taking these
field trips will enable the students to learn about each area’s heritage
and why each city is special.

Web Drop-ins:
Drop in #1: How Would You Spend a Million Dollars? ~This activity can be used to introduce the use of the Internet as a research tool and to further students’ understanding of what a million dollars is. I have created this activity for upper elementary school students. Students must develop a plan, research information on the Internet, evaluate their work, and discuss the project in class.
Drop in #2:
Taino Indians ~ This activity will review how to cut and paste, by having
students practice what they learned by copying the questions into a new

understanding of Taino Indians by investigating a website and answering
questions.

#6 Internet Course Module~ This is an assignment that could be completed for a class such as the one I am currently taking. As a teacher you know that you will have students that will challenge you with their behavior. You might even have a whole class that is chatty or can’t seem to get their work accomplished. In fact, I am sure at this point of the year you are trying to come up with ways to get the students to pay attention and behave like they did in the beginning of the year. It is now time for you to get those ideas and try them in your class.

#7 Internet
Course Module~ As a teacher in the
classroom, or for special activities, I am sure you have written more then one
newsletter to send home to parents. This activity will get you to look closely
at your newsletter and how you can approve it.
