Lesson Plans in Math
The following site was found
on AltaVista:
- Lesson Plans Page- This site starts at a menu for grades PreK-12.
I chose the 6-7 grade section and found 12 topics with a variety of lesson
plans in each topic. The plans seem thorough- they have the objective,
materials, set-up and follow-up questions listed. Date visited-March 7,
2002. http://www.lessonplanspage.com/Math.htm
The following sites were
found on Google.com
- Ask Eric- This site has 14 topics but you cannot find the grade level until
you go to the specific math topic. Once you click on the topic you find the
grade
level. This site did provide a
guide to writing a lesson plan
which
was very helpful. Date Visited- March 7, 2002.

- The Math Forum at Drexel- Listed by both grade level and topic. Many sites with links to even more sites. There is a never ending supply of
information on this site. There are lesson plans and collections of plans
and places to go to base plans on. Date visited- March 7, 2002. http://www.mathforum.org/library/resource_types/lesson_plans/
- Lesson PlanZ – Listed by grades preschool through
grade 12- in seven categories. You can rate each site and also see what
other people rated it. The plans
contain objectives, materials, procedures and assessments. Date visited-

- teach net- This site contains only five categories and the age level is not
mentioned until you go directly to the lesson. This makes it harder to use
but there are still some good ideas there. You can also submit your own plans to the site. Date visited

- Scholastic-Broken down by grade groups, I used the 6-8 section. There
were 22 topics in the math section
and each topic had several lesson plans.
I will use the plans from this site on 3/14-better known as Pi day
in math circles. Date visited- March 7, 2002. http://teacher.scholastic.com/grade/grades68.asp
