Created Website #1 – This website is designed for third grade
students and covers a wide variety of subjects. The site is put together very
well and contains a lot of important information. The site makes learning fun and in my opinion
would really get students involved in the learning process. This site also
posts the students work for everyone to see. I think this is great because it
will make the students proud of the work they have accomplished. The fact that
the work gets posted on the web page will also help to motivate the children. I
would recommend that this site use better spacing. Some of the information is
bunched together at times and it makes the page hard to read. I think that the
page should also include an introduction to the parents that let them know what
the page is all about and what their child should be doing. I also think that
the page should have a tutorial section that shows you how to explore the
entire site. Some parents and students may not be as familiar with the internet
as others and a tutorial section would really help them to become familiar with
the web page.

Created Website #2 – This site is designed for first grade students
and covers a wide variety of subjects. I think that this site is great and very
appealing. The use of graphics and animation will definitely capture the
children’s attention and will make them want to learn. This site is
particularly nice because it contains a parent’s page, which lets the parent’s
see strategies for helping their child succeed. The page also lets the parents
see what their child is accomplishing throughout the day. The information and
activities on this page are accurate and they make children enjoy learning. I
would recommend that this site use a consistent font. Throughout the course of
the page the font changes a variety of times. The inconsistent use of font can
make the site hard to read and can deter children from wanting to learn. I
would also include a tutorial section on this page. Using a tutorial section
will help the parents and the students to become more familiar with the web
page and what its capabilities are. I would also recommend not using so many
graphics in some of the sections. Cluttering the site makes the information
hard to read and will distract the children trying to learn.
