Translation

 

  1. The translation web site would be a useful instructional tool if you had a child in your class who speaks English as a second language. The website could be used to help aid you in communicating with the child when teaching and also giving assignments.

 

  1. A second use of the translation web site could be for the students use. The site could be used if the students were doing group work with a child who speaks English as a second language. The website could help the children communicate with each other. This would help the child not only with their English language skills, but also with their social skills.

 

  1. A third use of the translation web site would be in a foreign language class. The site could be used just like a foreign language dictionary would be used. The online site would provide the students with faster results, which in turn would result in getting more work done. The translation site should only be used for translation of words. Writing assignments should not simply be typed into the translation box.

 

  1. A fourth use of the translation web site could be to have students do some assignments in two different languages. The students could use the translation box to easily translate the material. By completing the assignments in two different languages, the students would be getting extra practice with their foreign language skills. The use of the translation box would not only be enhancing their foreign language skills, but their internet skills as well.

 

  1. A fifth use of the translation web site could be for a foreign language vocabulary activity. The web site could be used to transfer words from English to another language very easily so that students could become familiar with several basic vocabulary words. The use of the translation site would be easier then using a dictionary and would also help to enhance the children’s internet skills.

English: On Monday I will play baseball in my physical education class.

 

Spanish: EL lunes jugaré a béisbol en mi clase de la educación física

 

French: Lundi je jouerai au base-ball dans ma classe d'éducation physique.
