Online Games

For the online games assignment I decided to use AOL games, due to the fact that I am already registered and all of the games are the same or similar to yahoo games. I was very excited when I read the assignment for this elective because I would have played the games regardless of this class assignment. I play a lot of the games online because they are a great way to relax and it is exciting to know that you are playing against real people. I think of all the games online I am most addicted to the word games. My favorite word game on AOL is called Word Whomp. The object of the game is to spell as many words as possible with only the letters that are given to you. I only recommend playing this game if you are prepared to spend hours in front of the computer screen. Another cool thing about the game is that if you make it to a certain level you get a jackpot spin and you can win real money. I have never won the real money but I imagine I will be happy when I do. To go along with the word games I have also played many card games online. It is fun to play blackjack and poker online because you are playing against real people. Chess and Checkers are fun too because you can play against all different levels of players.

Besides AOL games I have also tried playing online poker for money. I wish I would have seen the advice on the assignment page that said do not gamble before I did this. I do not recommend playing online poker for money. I entered to play for twenty-five dollars and I took that up to a few hundred. That sounds good right? Well I didn’t walk away with my few hundred dollars and I lost it all right back with an additional twenty-five. So all in all the online poker world has taken fifty dollars from me and I will never play again.

In conclusion the online gaming world is a lot of fun and I recommend it to everyone, as long as you have some time to waste in front of the computer. I enjoy playing all the games that I do and I look forward to trying some new ones out in the future.
