Bibliography: This is my annotated
bibliography of web sites for elementary teachers. This is a work in progress. I intend to update it continually and
add to it on a regular basis. Links
without annotation are awaiting my visit and review.

Drop-Ins:
Drop In #1-This
is a quick activity for elementary students to look at animals from Australia
and pick one to find out more about it, color a picture of it and report to the
class their discoveries.
Drop In #2
Continues the theme of learning about Australia only this time students use a
blank map printout worksheet to write the states, territories and capitals they
find on an Internet map of Australia.
Drop In #3
This activity continues the theme of learning about Australia but this time
students link to a map page with information they have to collect. After they collect this information,
students link to a second map site on Australia’s rainfall. Students are asked to read the map and
interpret where it rains the least and the most.
Drop In #4
This activity continues the theme of learning about Australia in order to
compare and contrast it with the United States. Students will link to a map site to view the United States and
gather information that corresponds to information gathered about Australia in
Drop In #3. After they collect this
information, students link to a rainfall map of the United States where they
are asked to read and interpret the map for where it rains the most and the
least.
Drop In #5 Since Drop-Ins 3 and 4 included the
graphical representation of the information sought as required for Drop-In 5, I
used this space to show the T chart and ask students higher level thinking
questions. They can use any of the
previous sites and some additional sites to help them answer the questions.
Internet
Course Module: This course module takes students to an article about

Here are my best finds of clip art. I would not recommend letting children search for clip art unless
under child safe search engines or supervised.
I was linked to two directories for clip art, which had several lewd and
pornographic clip art sites in them. I
found trying to find clip art very frustrating because of the pop-up ads and
stupid links. Here are the few sources
I found that were not too terrible. {Despite following the directions for
graphics I was not completely successful in getting animations.}Clip Art
