Web Drop In #1 – A brief web-based instructional activity.

 

Grade Level: 5-8

 

Topic: Color Theory

 

Introduction: Using basic color theory and a color wheel you will learn how visible colors are related and created.  This activity will guide you through the world of color.

 

Activity: 

 

1. Read this site http://www.sanford-artedventures.com/study/g_color_wheel.html and click on all underlined words (related web pages). *

 

2. Gather colored pencils or markers and a pencil.

 

3. Print out this worksheet.

 

4. Color and label the worksheet with the color theory you learned.  You should have all three primary colors, three secondary colors and six intermediate (tertiary) colors colored in and labeled with their correct color names.
