Clip Art Elective
Want to jazz up your
homework? Need to add a picture to your
newsletter. You don’t need to go further
than your computer, because clip art is the answer! Use sites like these to help you find the
image you need. I have listed sites I
thought were the best to use for me, as an art teacher, but they all contain
images for many different subjects and interests. After reviewing many clip art sites, I feel
these were easy to use and have a variety of images. I have listed my five favorites and included
a clip from each.

1. Design Gallery Live is the title to this page. This site provides an easy to read guide to
clip art. It features four avenues to
locate a piece of clip art.
1. “Featured clips” are special clips. i.e. – Fourth of July
2. “Collections” are sorted by themes. i.e. - Technology
3. “Select Styles” are three different artistic styles
4. “Search” provides a more custom option for you to locate something more specific.

2. Kaboose Network is the title to this page. This site is one that I would recommend for the kid in all of us. It is a good hands-on site for a child too. I liked the stuffed animal’s page in particular. http://www.kidsdomain.com/clip/toy.html

3. This is a site I would use to find a picture. There are three ways to find what you are looking for. The first is a broad search. The second is a “featured pictures” category. This is a collection they choose to feature for a period of time. The third is “picture categories”. The picture category I was interested in was “art & architecture”. http://gallery.yahoo.com/

4. This is a search engine site of Goggle’s to use to find images. You can type in a word and will it will look for images that portray your search word. I found many great pictures for Pop Art here. http://images.google.com/
