Web Drop-in Activities

 

Web Drop in 1 This activity will allow the student to explore the world of Claude Monet.
Web Drop in 2 Andy Warhol was one of the leading pop artists of our time.  This website allows the student to explore his technique for silk screening by creating their own piece of art through an interactive activity.

Web Drop in 3 Leonardo DaVinci was one of the most well rounded artists to exist.  Learn more about his life and work in this activity.

Web Drop in 4 Popular art, Impressionism and the Renaissance are three art movements.  This activity allows students to develop an opinion on what they like or dislike about the various movements.

Web Drop in 5 -   Explore Minimalism, Pop Art, the Hudson School and Realism in this exercise on various artistic styles. This exercise allows the student to review sites discussing these movements, and a chance to create their own style.

Newsletters This is a review of and link to two art education newsletters.

Translation The internet has many useful tools, one which is a translation tool.  Try translating text in the two links provided.

E-learning This site contains an overview of two e-learning resources:  Class.com and the Babbage Net School.

Shopping The internet can be a resource for many things, including shopping!  This page explores different sites that offer on-line shopping.  Have fun!

Teacher created web-sites – Teachers create websites to assist their students.  This is an overview of two art teacher’s websites.

SPAMThis site is resource for internet users to learn more about SPAM and what they can do if they receive it.

Internet Safety Letter and Tips – Use this letter and tip sheet as a resource for parents and teachers on safe use of the Internet.

Collaboration Collaboration is a great way to connect students with the world.  Many of the websites listed in this resource provide fun learning opportunities for children to work collaboratively with other students and organizations.
