Radio Instructional Web Sites
The Big Broadcast- This site allows listeners to hear broadcasts from old radio shows from the ‘30s, ‘40s, ‘50s. Some of the shows include Gunsmoke, Superman, Jack Benny, and Suspense. This can be a fun site for older listeners who may remember growing up listening to these old broadcasts when they were kids and when radio was the major news and entertainment device in the country.

Poetry Streaming
Audio Poetry- This site allows listeners to hear literature from various poets and writers, including Emily Dickinson, Dylan Thomas, William Shakespeare, and Earnest Hemingway. Listening to a poem or piece of prose can be beneficial for people because it makes reading and understanding literature more fun.

Speeches- This cite offers listeners the chance to listen important speeches given in our nations history. The History Channel site has speeches from sports hero’s, political leaders, and astronauts.

Kennedy Tapes- Since President’s have let tape recorders into the Oval Office it has been a valuable resource for historians to actually listen to Presidential decision-making. This particular one deals with President John F. Kennedy discussing the Cuban Missile Crisis with his advisors and Joint Chief of Staff.

Virtually American- This site offers listeners audio streams from original shows in different genres, including comedy, science fiction, horror, and drama. The shows are done by various theatre companies and available for download at the Virtually American site.
