Iraq War

For over the past two years the United States has been involved in a war with Iraq.  Some Americans felt it important to invade Iraq, oust Saddam Hussein from power, and help the Iraqi people create a Democratic government.  Other feel the war is unjust and should be stopped immediately because American soldiers and innocent Iraqi civilians are being killed.  Many people are now comparing the war in Iraq to that of the highly unpopular Vietnam War.

Students will be required to read the following articles and compare and contrast the author’s attitudes about the war in Iraq.
