Course Module- This is an internet course module that requires students to read a journal article describing the use social studies websites.  Students are required to then evaluate a couple social studies websites and find five new ones and critique them.  coursemodule.htm

Elective Activity #1 – For this assignment I analyzed web sites for students to use that encourage collaboration activities. elective1_collaboration.htm

 

Elective Activity #2- For this elective activity I looked at teacher made web sites and had to analyze them.  Web sites can be an excellent way for teachers to teach specific units in their content area because they allow them to so many different types of activities.  elective2_teacherwebsite.htm

 

Elective Activity #3- For this activity I got to find web sites that are useful for audio streaming, which can be a very useful tool for teachers because students can hear music, poetry, and historical speeches. elective3_radiostrution.htm

Elective Activity #8- For this activity I found some fun and interesting social studies websites that teachers can use to for their lesson planning.

Elective Activity #9- For this activity I created a virtual fieldtrip where students can learn about different historical sites without leaving the classroom.  The sites I chose for this activity are the White House, Arlington National Cemetery, Monticello, and Mount Vernon.  elective9_virtualfieldtrip.htm

Elective Activity #11- For this activity I found clip art websites that are beneficial to both students and teachers.  Clip art is a fantastic way to enhance presentations and visuals given in class.  elective11_clipart.htm
