The BookHive
This site offers a fun and interactive way to find children’s books and information on children’s literature. There is a place to find books separated by genre and grade level with annotations and a picture for each book. One way the site involves children is by creating your own book and then printing it out. There are also coloring pages, quizzes, and activity pages that are fun and education. Your child will be entertained and be learning more about books and how much fun reading can be.

The Literate Living Room

This site is sponsored by the Girl Scouts of America and is very kid-friendly. There are reading or literature activities for early, middle, advanced, and young adult readers. The activities can be geared to boys and girls and include a place where visitors can share their favorite pieces of literature and gives children a chance to look at news with adults.
