Web Dropin #2: Website Book Reviews
Finding
a new and exciting book has never been easier.
Instead
of going to the library and randomly picking out a book without knowing anything
about it ahead of time you can now look up books online and get reviews or
descriptions of them.
Assignment:
- Click
on the graphic that will take you to a website called "The Bookhive" (if the link does not work go to http://www.bookhive.org/).
- The
link will take you to a section called "Find a Book." There are
numerous categories to choose from including adventure, historical, and
award books. After finding a category that you are interested in, read the
reviews and select a book from that category.
- After
selecting the book click here
to find a worksheet. Print it out and after completing it bring it to
class by April 1st.
Extra Credit:
- If
you are feeling ambitious after completing the assignment check out the
book, from your local library, that you selected and after reading it
write your own review of the book.
