Our school library media program at MCT, as well as MCPS media curriculum and Maryland State Outcomes are based on Information Power: Building Partnerships for Learning, published by the American Library Association (ALA) and prepared by the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) and the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT). It is based on 9 Information Literacy Standards for Student Learning, and focuses on three themes that underlie this vision of library media programs: collaboration, leadership and technology. Please watch the attached Powerpoint to begin our joint effort to ensure that students are effective users of ideas and information.
