Today with the Internet a click away, the uses for a language translator is endless. Several ways that this translation can be used are as follows: 1) Students can access the translator to help build and reinforce vocabulary when learning a new language. 2) The translator can be used when reading an article and finding a word that you are not familiar with, after searching the English dictionary with no success. 3) As a class project students can write a pen pal in another country. Having the translator, a student can quickly translate English phrases instead of the word- to- word translation that would be done using a dictionary. 4) As the student population is becoming more diverse, teachers want their students to succeed. Having the ability to make quick phrase translations, a teacher is better prepared to work with a student who has limited English capability. 5) When you lose the English directions on how to fix your computer but still have the Spanish ones, the ability to fix your computer is still there. 6) A student in the ESL class can use the program to improve their English.
