A Few Precautions Can Prevent Problems in the Long Run
Dear Parent or Guardian:
As part of the school curriculum, your child will be using the Internet for research and online class activities. With Internet use comes the responsibility of learning to use the Internet in a safe manner. Our school has filters in place to restrict inappropriate sites but these filters cannot control all access. Some precautions that I have put in place are as follows:
I have designed the Internet Use policy (see below) and any student using the Internet must have the policy signed by a Guardian and themselves prior to using a school computer. Please review the policy with your child. Any infraction of the policy will result in your child not using the computers until the infraction is reviewed with you. Please feel free to call or email me with any questions or concerns that you have regarding the Internet Use Policy. For additional information on Internet safety, check out the following site: http://www.safetyed.org/ (Internet Safety Education Class).
Thank you for your support in helping students to the next level.
Regards
Mrs. Colbert
