HistoryWiz Audio and Video – This site was featured in MacWorld as one of the five best History sites on the Web. It has a nice search feature where you can search by TIME, REGION, or TOPIC. This site is a handy tool for a History or Social Studies teachers to allow their class to hear about a disaster such as the Hindenberg from an eyewitness to the event. There are actual speeches from many of our Presidents such as Kennedy to Nixon in the President audio archive section. There are audio clips from the History channel. Mercury Theatre on the Air – John Houseman and Orson Welles, who are famous for the War of the Worlds, started the Mercury Theatre. This site includes episodes from the 1930s Mercury Theatre radio drama performed by artists from the New York drama company. Here you will find radio drama on some of literatures’ greatest classics :Bram Stoker’s Gothic horror tale, Dracula, Treasure Island, A Tale of Two Cities, The 39 Steps, Abraham Lincoln, and The Count of Monte Cristo.
