Our Flag - Forever in Peace She May Wave

Introduction: 5th grade students will explore the proper etiquette of our American Heritage “the Flag”.

Information:

With the recent activities in our nation, the American Flag is more prominent today than it has ever been. The flag is seen on clothes, walls, pictures, faces, toys, basically on any and everything. There is a special set of rules and regulations that accompany the flag; our class is going to share our flag information with the rest of the school by making a flag guideline pamphlet.

Visit Flag Rules and Regulations.

Activity:  You will review the site and collect information for the pamphlet. The pamphlet must contain a           minimum of  (6) items and include 2 drawings.

Example

The American flag should be displayed on the right when it is displayed with another flag against a wall from crossed staffs. The flag's own right, and its staff should be in front of the staff of the other flag.
