Clipart-Without the Scissors             

The research is done and now you want to “spice up” your work. The following sites are great for finding clipart, icons, backgrounds, and animated gifs to enhance your work. Clipart can be used in word processing documents, PowerPoint presentations, and making your online options is endless.  No more scissors, you are a click away from any type of graphic imaginable.

Many clipart sites provide download instructions for both Mac and PC . Please review the download section of the clipart site you visit.  In most projects, to insert a graphic in your document: 1) right-click on the graphic 2) copy the image 3) open your document 4) Edit/Paste to place the graphic. 

To insert a graphic into web pages: 1) choose your graphic 2) right-click and then select Save Image from the menu    3) place the graphic in the proper folder 4) use your web-authoring software to insert the image 5) upload your image along with your web page.

http://www.awesomeclipartforkids.com/generalindex.html Awesome Clipart for Kids is a teacher & family-friendly site with free clipart for your web pages or printable documents. There are links to other clipart sites. 

http://www.google.com Google is a search engine that will allow you to search for images. Images is a part of the search image. Put in a key word or phrase and then review the search results. Click on an image you like and that will take you to the site.

http://www.kidsdomain.com/clip/ Kid’s Domain offers more than 3,000 down loads for PC and Mac for students and teachers. There is no individual picture search it is done through categories.

http://pics.tech4learning.com/pics/index.htm Pics4Learning- This site was designed to supply education with copyright-friendly images to enhance student learning. The searching is easy through specific pictures or by categories. There are links to other graphic sites that are education specific.

http://www.teacherfiles.com/clip_art.htm Teacher Files Clip Art is full of resources, ideas, activities, lesson plans and educational clip art for teachers.  You can search by category or by word. This site has links to other clipart sites

http://www.ncrtec.org/picture.htm The Amazing Picture Machine is an index to graphical resources on the Internet. This site offers lesson ideas and search tips.
