Group Exercise Class

All group exercise class formats include an active warm up, cardiovascular conditioning, aerobic cool down and post-exercise static stretching. Classes may also include an abdominal strengthening and/or body-sculpting segment in addition to the above format.

 

Complete the following activites:

  1. Click on the link, History of Fitness, and navigate the website.  Find an article based on the History of Fitness and write a five-hundred word article critique.  The first paragraph should contain a synopsis of the content of the article. The second paragraph should contain your thoughts and opinions on the article.
  2. Click on the above picture to learn more about the development of Group Exercise Classes and the different types of classes that are offered.  Using the information provided from the website, develop your own Group Exercise Class.  Use the Group Exercise Class Format to complete this activity.  Include both pictures and descriptions.
  3. Using the Group Exercise Class that you developed, put together a three minute demonstration to be presented in class.
