Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Our next unit will focus on sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). STDs affect people of all ages, backgrounds, and from all areas of life. In fact, in the U.S. alone there are approximately 15 million new cases reported each year. Getting to know the facts about STDs is very important for your sexual health and future.

Please visit http://www.cdc.gov/std/default.htm, navigate through the STD topics, statistics, treatment, and facts and complete all of the following activities:

1.      STDs Fact Sheet Click on link and fill out chart, print out two copies, turn in one copy, and keep one for your own personal reference.

2.    Come up with one or two questions or concerns and place in anonymous question box.

3.    Write a 1,000 word essay comparing the changes in trends of STDs over the past couple of decades.
