Web Page Evaluation Checklist
Go to google.com, type in "gym class", and evaluate two websites by the following criteria:
Main Factors Good Page   Bad Page
Authority:            
   
Is there an author?        
Is the author an expert?      
Can you varify the author's credentials?      
Did the author include contact information?      
Is there an organization that is sponsoring the web page?      
Is there a link to the author or sponser of the website?      
Could the credentials of the author be made up?      
   
Purpose and Support:            
   
Is there a clear purpose to the website?      
Can a target audience be identified?      
Is there an editor or someone who verifies/checks the information?      
Is the information reliable?      
    Does the author support the information he or she uses?      
Is the support respectable?      
    Does the page cite a variety of sources?      
   
Currency and Coverage:            
   
Is the information current?      
Can you varify a date on the website?      
Are the links on the page current?      
Are facts completley sited?      
Are there any conflicts of interest?      
Can you identify any bias among the website?
