That’s a Capital Idea!!

· Pick two pieces of paper out of the hat.

Those will be the 2 states that you will focus on and present to the class at the end of the lesson.

· Click on the web site 50 States

For each of the 2 states you pulled, double click on their folder and write 4 facts about each state:

· State to Ratify the Constitution: (example CT was the 4^th)

· State motto:

· State bird:

· Your choice:

Click into the map site and color your 2 states and identify the capital and the location of each on your map to match the map site.

( Teachers note- Students will be provided with a cut out of their 2 states, in which the students can write their facts and identify the location of the capital.)
