Internet Online Course Module

Creating a Rubric using Rubistar.

Objectives:

At the end of this lesson the reader will be able to create rubrics easily using Rubistar.

Introduction:

Are you tired of slaving away creating Rubrics, or using and old one that just doesn’t quite fit the assignment?  Perhaps you are just in a hurry.  Rubistar is a great program that creates a Rubric for you with the information you put into it!

Activity:

Take a look at the Rubistar home page http://rubistar.4teachers.org/. The home page does an excellent job of taking a first time user step by step through creating, saving and printing their first online rubric.

Assignment:

Create a rubric on a topic of your choice and successfully paste it into a word document and submit as an email to the teacher.  The rubric must have 3 rating categories relevant to your topic. Depending on the topic choose either descriptive or numeric rating scales.
