During our cells unit we will be learning about Mitosis and Meiosis.

Before we begin our lesson on these two topics, I would like you to explore these two websites one on Mitosis (http://taggart.glg.msu.edu/bs110/mitosis.htm) and the other on Meiosis (http://taggart.glg.msu.edu/bs110/meiosis.htm)

Once you have explored these two websites make a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting the processes of mitosis and meiosis. Be sure to include the following:

The definition of the terms

The steps of each process

The correct sequence of steps

The similarities and differences between the two processes

« Draw all of the steps of each process (mitosis and meiosis) using poster

boards provided, you may do this with a partner.
