Lesson Plans

New York Times Lesson Plans – This is a great source for teachers to find free lesson plans.  It is a little unusual to think lesson plans would be found at this site, but the plans that are located at this site a great!  The lessons tie into articles found in the New York Times.  I think that this is a great way to tie what you are teaching in the classroom to current events.  I also think it helps to spread reading across the content areas.  By reading articles and using previously taught information the students can really benefit from these lessons.

The Lesson FactoryThis is another great source for free lesson plans across the content areas.  The very easy to use, well laid out, and fun website has many free lesson plans for teachers to use.  The lesson plans on this website were created and tested by teachers.  You can choose from the subject area you want to find or narrow your search down by using the grade level you are looking for.  Teachers can also submit their own lesson plans and there is a discussion board that you can join with a number of topics including general lessons, mentoring, and even fundraising.
