P.E. and Health Educator's Web Bibliography
This bibliography's intention is to provide a foundation on which P.E. and Health teachers may rely on for current information in their field. As the bibliography is organized in a categorical format, it has the ability to be updated and changed effectively and efficiently. These websites provide a plethora of information, often overlapping information they share. The list is composed to provide a starting point for educators to find sites and tips for lesson plans, job seeking, adapted P.E., coaching, and many other numerous tools. The goal is for educators to use this list as a resource in order to make teaching a more interesting experience for both the teacher and the student.
General Physical Education
PE Central- This site provides lesson plans, job searches, hot topics, research, and is a great place for P.E. teachers and health educators to start. It provides visuals for bulletin boards and ideas on classes just to name a few. The site is easy to navigate and even includes a search tool for the website. How to Stretch - This site is purely text and links, but it has a lot of great information for coaches to lead their team. It is good information to pass on to team captains so that a team will avoid injury and stay healthy throughout the season. This site is best for coaches, parents, and students 14 and older.

President's Challenge - This site is useful for people of all ages, not just physical educators with students. It challenges people to go out and get and live a healthy lifestyle. It gives different qualifications of what a person should be doing based on activity level, etc. the site also has a BMI calculator and current news and research. Noodle Games - This site is a wealth of information concerning a new and innovative way to use pool noodles in the class room to promote motor skill development as well as a fun and interesting way to use pool noodles! WeissIce - This site is created by a published P.E. teacher. He has graciously put on a website games and methods he has used in the past that have worked well. The site is simply organized and is very helpful. It is packed with ideas for games and links for the physical educator, and therefore would best be utilized by a teacher.

Nutrition Links
Body Language - This site has facts about how the body responds to certain things and what parts of one's diet may contribute to that response. It is filled with interesting tidbits that would be great to add to a bulletin board or trivia game. Symptoms and signs are listed with the possible pathology explained. Although it is filled with information, it is not peer-reviewed, only a collection of data, so before acting drastically, it is important that a physician is consulted first. This site is best for educators and parents.

Smart Spot - This site is excellent for finding out requirements in nutrition and hydration for kids and adults. There are a variety of different tools to use to help judge what foods are best. The articles are better than the actually visuals, as it seems to be geared to specific brands in the grocery store. Pay more attention to the literature. This site is best for parents and educators.

From cyberbullying to becoming a stepparent to nutrition and fitness, this site helps give parents some answers they may be looking for.
