I teach sixth grade English. These web site links to English grammar lessons will enhance my curriculum instruction.

Noun, Pronoun, Verb, Adjective, Adverb, Conjunction, Interjection, and   Preposition

These two lesson plans links are from the A to Z teacher stuff website.

They are both for middle school students. Each lesson is geared to aid the student in defining the role of adverbs and adjectives in sentences.

(Review the parts of Speech)

This lesson plan was found on

However, then the lesson plan was linked to one of Houghton Mifflin education place links called, Wacky Web Tales. Students pick a story tale and supplement different words (parts of speech) as instructed to create a new tale.   This is an activity that really makes the student think. It also has a helping link to aid students with the definitions of all parts of speech. This is one of my favorite links.

(Learning Prepositions through a song.) The list of preposition is sometimes hard to memorize, therefore teach your students the list with the tune, Yankee Doodle.

(Colorful parts of Speech) Students will be assigned a different color for every part of speech. They will then be provided with sentences that they must underline each part of speech according to their color assigned.
