Summary
This
bibliography is a compilation of websites pertaining to bats. These links will
be helpful to the second grader wishing to learn more about bats. These sites
are also for the teacher who wants to provide activities to supplement the
second grade science curriculum. Many of
these sites have games to play, webquests to complete, and book
recommendations.

Students
Enchanted Learning- This page
provides facts about the bat anatomy and different kinds of bats. There are
pages to color, charts to fill out and crafts to make on this page. This page is easy to read and great for K-3

facts about the bat. You will find out where they live, what they eat and

is a cool site just for kids! There are crossword puzzles, an easy to make

is an interactive story of Echo the bat written by G. Butcher from NASA. This is not just an adventure but
you will also learn about remote sensing and electromagnetic spectrum. This

Trust:Kids- This is a great site! Very thorough and easy to navigate. Some
of the questions that will be answered while visiting this site include what is
biodiversity, why do bats hang upside down, and what do bats eat? The site also
offers a nice feature that address what bats do each month of the year. Perfect

–This website, from the Organization for Bat Conservation, which works to save
bats is an excellent site. Even though
