Destination #1:
Pathways
to Freedom: Maryland & the Underground Railroad
Follow the footsteps of a young
and view maps of Underground
Railroad routes in
Harriet Tubman’s life as a child
and create a quilt just like the ones made during slavery times.

Destination #2:
You will take a journey on the
Underground Railroad that Harriet Tubman took to
meet leaders in the fight for
freedom. View a detailed timeline of the
events of 1500-1865
and learn about the time when slaves were
brought from
place up until
slavery was abolished.
Destination #3: Aboard
the Underground Railroad
This trip
provides information about the people that sacrificed their lives to help
slaves by providing their homes as safe
houses. You will also learn about the slave trade, and have the opportunity to
see the locations
of these houses on a map.

Destination #4 Retracing the
Route to Freedom

Now that we have traveled quite a
ways lets make one final stop on our fieldtrip and visit the diary of a
gentleman that traced the footsteps of escaping slaves from
