Rome: This is part of Mr. Donn and MaxieísWebsite. They provides resources
on a variety of social studies topics including ancient civilizations. The website contains brief blurbs about
many topics in ancient Roman life including: breakfast, lunch, dinner,
families, school, the forum, houses, the baths, clothing, entertainment,
weddings, toys and games, country life and great builders. The website also has
a story about Thomas, the greatest lawyer in Rome. Lesson plans and web links
are included.

website was produced by Nettlesworth Primary. This site contains great graphics
and is grouped into the following categories: Important people, important
events, a childís life, a town tour, military news, arts and crafts and fun and
games. This website also includes links to other related websites. Written at 4th
to 5th grade, each topic provides basic information to introduce
students to a topic.

This website contains more detailed information about different aspects of
Rome. Topics on this page include the army, the baths, clothing, emperors (only
a chart of names and dates), entertainment, glass, theatre and the hippodrome. Some of the pages include pictures, and

The Romans This website is the
best that I have seen. It is professionally produced and has a ton of
information. Topics included are the city of Rome and the Roman Empire, Roman
invasion of Great Britain, the Roman Army, leisure, family and children, religion,
technology, and remains. Special
features on this website are the glossary, just click on a highlighted word and
it takes you to the glossary. Also, websites include fun facts, online quizzes, printable
worksheets, and further resources, (books, films and websites).

of Constantine and his achievement. It does include a picture.

in Ancient Rome and in the World Today: This website contains a complete
lesson on ancient Roman taxation complete with objective, materials, procedures
and student handout. The lesson takes students through the taxation process and
how it is connected to the political system. Intended for students in 6-8
