Discovery School's Rubrics    This website contains list of different types of rubrics used for a variety of activities.  Website includes many rubrics for technology based actviites like power point presentations and student web pages.  Traditional activities like oral presentations, map activities are also inlcuded.  The website has a section on graphic organizers, assessing portfolios, and report card comments.  http://school.discovery.com/schrockguide/assess.html
 

6th Grade Social Studies:

Ancient Greece   This website has lesson plans on a variety of ancient Greek topics.  Topics with printable worksheets include daily life, favorite Greek myths, agora and cities.  Each activity gives information with a follow up activity.

Lesson Plans Central- This website advertises as an educators guide for lesson plans, worksheets, web links and more.  Many subcategories are found with in their history section.  Browse by grade level too.  http://www.lessonplancentral.com/

Teach-nology  This website offers a variety of resources including worksheets, lesson plans, rubrics, and webquests.  The website has a place to subscribe to be a member, but also allows you to pick up free printable worksheets.  The social studies worksheet page is divided into categories, mostly pertaining to American history, but also included was a section on ancient Egypt and ancient Rome.  http://www.teach-nology.com/worksheets/soc/studies
