My Media Web Site, Mrs Bailey's Web Site, Curriculum Charts, Assignment Sheet
As a science teacher I have been very active in school-wide programs to create a team approach to positively impact student achievement. Through Kid Talk we identify students who are in need of extra support to succeed. I have been an active and supportive member throughout my career. It is also important to create a connection to home. As a science teacher I created a web site that allows student's access to assignments. This can be accessed in the artifact, Mrs Bailey's Web Site. In their binders students also create a quarterly assignment sheet that students regularly update in class, as seen in my Assignment Sheet artifact. I also regularly contact parents by email, phone and grade sheet updates. As a media specialist I will create a web site to communicate with parents and students, as in my artifact titled My Media Web Site. I also created a curriculum chart that is available for other staff to use as a reference and as a guide for parents. It will be through teamwork between the media specialist and staff and parents that I can positively affect student achievement.
