Resources are a must for
teachers to have to be well prepared for the classroom. However, newspapers can add clutter to the
home so electronic newsletters can give a teacher the resources without
clutter. The following are two
newsletters I have evaluated.
A Teacher Newsletter- This website offers a free newsletter that is jam-packed! Students are always on the move so to keep up with them, we need as many ideas that we can collect. This newsletter offers a section on weekly teaching tips, lesson plans, issues on instruction integrated with technology. Finally, the best part of this newsletter I feel that is extremely valuable is it even offers jokes that you can tell your class! Teaching for teachers and learning for students doesn’t have to be a drab so make it fun and check out the newsletters jokes. As far as subscription, again it is free and you can go to the site at anytime and unsubscribe to it. . The newsletter itself offers teaching links but the teach-nology home page is also a great resource.

Pick your own newsletter- This site was quite interesting. If you know what you want and you don’t want any extra then I feel that this is a newsletter site that you should check out. It offers a subscription to an average newsletter that offers a little of everything. It has ideas and activities that you can use in your classroom. The following are specific topic newsletters: literature newsletter for those teachers who are more language arts based; science newsletter which supplies ideas only for the science curriculum and special needs newsletter that gives support to working with all types of children. I particularly like the special needs newsletter. All classrooms have a variety of students who are nothing alike and most students have needs to be fulfilled in order to learn. This newsletter will give me another point of insight to working with children. All of these newsletters are free and can be unsubscribe to at anytime.
