Worksheets
Teachers use worksheets everyday, in every subject
area. The web provides many valuable resources
for pre-made and user-generated worksheets, puzzles, activities, etc. and many
sites offer information in multiple subject areas. Listed below are several
sites I have found that have specific activities for grades K-3.
Puzzlemaker – Generate and
save your own puzzles with this site.
Options for puzzles include wordsearch, word merge, letter tiles,

– This site contains reading comprehension worksheets categorized by grade
level. The portion of the site
designated to K-2 includes worksheets for both fiction and nonfiction text. The worksheets include a story and associated

Reading a-z - Reading a-z offers limited
access for non-members and membership requires a fee. It contains leveled readers with can be
downloaded directly from the site, one book from each level is free. In addition, each book also has a Spanish and
French version and a corresponding running record worksheet. The site also offers information on phonics,

Busy Teacher’s Café - This site is
designed specifically for the K-3 teacher.
It provides web sites for teachers and students, unit and lesson plans,

LessonPlanz offers specific lesson plans and resources for lower elementary
grades K-2. Areas of information include

Quick and Simple – This site offers many annotated bibliography for books
of interest for K-3 students. Subject
areas are provided for each title and other suggestions for use in the

Enchanted Learning – This
outstanding site has a wide variety of information on themes for K-3. It is divided into specific areas such as
birds, colors, geography, etc and has activities associated with each. Crafts, jokes, rhymes, quizzes, and coloring

Graphic Organizers – This site contains many types of graphic organizers in
a PDF format. Some examples of the

The Educators Network – The
Educators Network main page provides links to their different web
resources. These include lesson plans,
worksheets, theme units, tools, rubrics, posters, news and even humor. The worksheet link in particular provides
create your own and ready made sheets for math, calendar, maps, etc. with many
more subjects listed as coming soon.
