Introduction

The internet….. Your friends talk about it, your parents talk about it, your teacher talks about it, EVEN YOU talk about it.  You may have been on the internet.  You may know you can play games, get mail, they look for directions, make travel plans, and more, all on the internet.  They even talk about it on TV while you are watching you favorite shows.  But, what exactly is the internet?

The internet has become an important part of our lives and it seems we are going to use it more and more every day.  Understanding exactly what the internet is, and is not, will help us use this new and exciting resource wisely.  In this activity, you will research the meaning of the internet and to share the information through an email message.
