What is the
internet?
Objectives
Students
will be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the internet.

will be able to create an email message to share their research.
Introduction
The internet
.. Your friends talk about it,
your parents talk about it, your teacher talks about it, EVEN YOU talk about
it. You may have been on the internet. You may know you can play games, get mail,
they look for directions, make travel plans, and more, all on the
internet. They even talk about it on TV
while you are watching you favorite shows.
But, what exactly is the internet?
The
internet has become an important part of our lives and it seems we are going to
use it more and more every day.
Understanding exactly what the internet is, and is not, will help us use
this new and exciting resource wisely.
In this activity, you will research the meaning of the internet and to
share the information through an email message.
