Teacher Sites
Mrs. Salame’s Website -This fourth grade website has sections for all of the major fourth grade subjects. This site is great because it has an easy to find link to homework, which will help both parents and students. It also is easy to navigate, and is up to date. -http://www.mrssalame.com/
Commendations-
· The calendar is up to date and lists all current events- great for both parents and students to check- no excuses!
· The book report section is very clear, the instructions, materials, and criteria are all listed.
· The map quiz section lets students practice their skills, so they know what is expected of them
Recommendations-
· I would change the math page to include more information about the specific topic they are learning in math, and I would try to have a link the textbook website to allow for more practice.
· I would have a section to show student work samples (without names) or projects that are being completed in class.
· I would have more reading links, especially to sites that suggest books that match the curriculum.
Mrs.
Hernandez’s Class Website- The website is created for a fourth grade class
in Phoenix, Arizona. This site is neat
because there are a lot of important links for parents and students. This site has links to the county website
and the school website. http://www.kyrene.org/staff/kherna/
Commendations-
·
The addition of the monthly newsletter is great for
parents who don’t receive it or need to reference it later on in the
month. I love how the newsletter has a
raffle ticket attached.
·
The homework policy is great to have online. There can be no excuses with the policy so
easily accessible.
·
I like having the rules posted- it would be easy to
have a student go look up the rules to see if he/she has been following them.
Recommendations-
·
I would update the student work. It is from the year before.
·
I would make a list of links for students to visit
that are related to what they are studying.
·
I think there should be a calendar for students to
see when projects are completed.
