After reviewing the list of sites included in this activity, two sites stood out as ones I would use with my students.  The Lafayette College website (http://ww2.lafayette.edu/%7Elibrary/guides/cite.html) was the most comprehensive source.  It offered the reader both MLA formatted citations and APA formatted citations.  The site gave a detailed definition of each part of the citation and several possible places the information might be found within the website.  The site also offered examples for each type of citation.  I would use this site with high school students, but not with middle or elementary school students.  There is too much information for a younger student to differentiate between important and unimportant information.  I included this in my response, because I felt it was the best overall site.

For my elementary students, I would use the Write Source website.

(http://www.thewritesource.com/mla.htm)  It offers a kid friendly format which makes the information easily accessible for younger students.  The write source website offers citations in MLA format.  This site also offers an example of each citation and a brief definition of each element of a citation.  Currently, in the classroom, we use the write source books as a paperback resource for writing.  Using the writesource website would help students make the connection to this site as a resource for improving their writing.
